SignalSolved

Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect as little as possible. No accounts, no lead forms, no cookies, no ad trackers, and no sale of personal information.

Last updated .

SignalSolved (signalsolved.com) is an educational website about internet service availability and connectivity in the United States. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site, why, and what your choices are. It is written to stay accurate as the site grows; if our practices change, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.

What we collect (and what we don’t)

  • No accounts, no sign-ups, no lead forms. The site has no login, no newsletter, and no forms that collect your name, address, phone number, or email.
  • Tool inputs stay in your browser. Interactive tools (like the MVNO network lookup and site search) run client-side. What you type is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
  • Server logs, with IP addresses masked. Our web server keeps standard access logs for security and to understand aggregate traffic (including distinguishing human visitors from search-engine and AI crawlers). IP addresses are masked at write time — the stored logs do not contain your full IP address.
  • Cookieless analytics. We measure traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, no localStorage, and no cross-site tracking, and with aggregate analysis of the IP-masked logs described above. We see counts and pages, not profiles of identifiable people.
  • Email you send us. If you contact us (for example, to report a correction), we receive whatever you include, such as your email address. We use it only to handle your report and respond.

Infrastructure providers

The site is delivered through Cloudflare (CDN, DNS, and security). Like any CDN, Cloudflare processes connection data — including your IP address — to route traffic and block abuse, under its own privacy policy. Our origin server is hosted by Hetzner. Neither arrangement gives us a profile of you; they are how the website physically reaches your device.

Cookies and tracking

We set no cookies and use no advertising or cross-site trackers. If that ever changes (for example, if a consent-requiring feature is added), we will update this policy and show an appropriate notice before anything is set.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, in the sense of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws. There is therefore nothing for a “Do Not Sell or Share” mechanism to switch off. Opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) ask sites to stop selling or sharing data — since we do neither, honoring that intent requires no action, and browsing with GPC enabled changes nothing about how the site works.

Your rights

Depending on your state (for example, under the CCPA/CPRA in California or similar laws in a growing number of states), you may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information a business holds about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because we keep almost nothing, most requests will have a short answer — but they are your rights, and we will honor them. Contact us through the route on our corrections page and we will respond.

Children

The site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Addresses are sensitive — our standing rule

Checking availability ultimately involves locations, and we treat that as sensitive by design. Our standing rules: tools default to ZIP/area-level lookups; we do not store addresses without a clear, disclosed reason; and we will never send your address to a third-party API without telling you first and getting your consent on the page where it happens. Today, no tool on this site collects or transmits an address at all.
